Your Name/what you go by: Anna
Your character's name (last, first): Lee, Ranka
Series your character's from: Macross Frontier

Background info on your character:
Introducing, at the very ripe age of fifteen, Galatic Fairy/the modern Lynn Minmei/moeblob Ranka Lee: A very adorable and charming student-turned-idol from the colonial space fleet, Macross Frontier! Sporting green hair that moves by itself, quarter-Zentradi DNA, and not-so-impressive measurements but a breathtaking voice, she moes her way into the hearts of everyone on the Frontier. Oh, and the Vajra.

Ranka's life was relatively normal at the beginning. She attended an all-girls school that her overprotective brother Ozma enrolled her in, and worked part-time at the Chinese restaurant Nyan Nyan. Her life soon changes the day that the very famous Sheryl Nome aka the Galactic Fairy arrives on Frontier to hold the final concert of her intergalactic tour. Of course, when she gets to the concert hall, she finds that there's already a massive amount of Sheryltards waiting to get in. What to do? Find a shortcut, of course! Unfortunately, things do not go as planned for Ranka and she gets lost. Luckily for her, super-pretty Saotome Alto-hime was changing in the very near vicinity when she got attacked by sprinklers and helps her find her way back and invites him to come visit her at her part-time job--all without knowing his name! Ranka, you are quite bold.

The concert starts, but a battle is going on just outside Frontier. Dangerous things called the Vajra have defolded into the area, and the military's failing at life. So the government dispatches SMS, a private military, and puts Frontier under a state of emergency. The concert is immediately halted. Amidst the panic, however, Ranka finds herself in the wrong place and the wrong time--right in front of the assailant Vajra. Luckily, Alto-hime is there to save the day although things get a little rough for them when Ranka is almost sucked into space by a hole made by the Vajra in Frontier's "sky."

The two meet again when Ranka, who was helping Sheryl find her way through Frontier, finds herself in deep shit when a Vajra that stowed away on the Frontier attacked. Alto, who just happened to be strolling around nearby, manages to take the three of them into an emergency shelter before the Vajra rips another hole into the Frontier's "sky" oops. They're eventually rescued by Sheryl's hax manager Grace after the fight is over, and Sheryl tells Ranka to pursue her dreams because the chance is right in front of her. This makes Ranka happy, but a few moments later she ends up witnessing Michel and Luca taking Ozma in as he's pretty injured. Ozma had been telling Ranka all along that he had been working at a desk job in the SMS when he was actually a pilot, and Ranka is reaaally upset to find out that he was lying. But first, seeing him injured triggers some horrific memories in her mind, and she passes out.

As it turns out, about 11 years ago the 117th Research Fleet that Ranka was living on with her family came under heavy attack by the Vajra, and Ranka lost all of her blood relatives during the incident. Ozma adopted her as his little sister, but Ranka has dissociative amnesia and can't remember anything from her childhood. When she does remember, however, it sends her into a panic due to the amount of stress and trauma it caused her to witness her family being annihilated by the Vajra. The only thing Ranka remembers from her childhood is a song called Aimo.

Ranka eventually auditions for the Miss Macross contest in hopes of being noticed and somehow winning. Her moe moe charm (she bumped her head into the microphone at the beginning and stumbled onstage at the end) scores points with the judges, but Ranka doesn't manage to win the competition after all. Then she's suspended from school for participating, and Ranka seeks Alto out for advice and consolation. But he's off being tsundere with Sheryl, so she gets Michael instead. However, her childish attitude pisses Michael off a little and he becomes more frank with her, daring her to sing in front of a crowd of people to prove that she can indeed be a singer. Ranka accepts the challenge. Alto, who happens to be in the same mall with Sheryl, makes a paper plane that finds its way to Ranka. She is reminded of Alto, finding enough courage to rock out, grabbing the attention of not only many mall-goers, but also the president manager of a small talent agency--Elmo! He immediately scouts Ranka sends her into a whirlwind of pretty shitty gigs. Later, when Alto invites Ranka to Sheryl's farewell concert only to stand her up because he has to go into battle, Ranka ends up signing a duet with Sheryl that ends up saving Alto's ass when a mysterious Valkyrie Fighter intercepts the song. She eventually also transfers to Alto's school under the performing arts course.

Her big break, however, comes when she is cast in the movie Bird Human. Oh, and all the while Ranka's had little run-ins with super sexy badass mofo cyborg Brera Sterne, and she is also being stalked by an adorable Dratini thing. The movie earns Ranka serious praise (not to mention she got to kiss Alto for one scene!), and she is skyrocketed into fame. Unfortunately, this takes its toll on her free time, and she finds herself not being able to spend as much time with her friends and Alto as she would want to. Remembering that Alto's birthday is soon, she arranges to meet up with him but is ditched when Sheryl makes the superior offer.

When Alto and Sheryl arrive at Gallia 4 on a mission (Sheryl was to sing for two Zentradi factions who would then reconcile), Sheryl faints from her sickness, sending the factions into the brink of battle. However, Ranka, who has arrived with Michel on his Valkyrie, gives a very ~*deculture*~ performance that stops the rebellious faction. Alto and Ranka get on his VF to return to Frontier afterwards since oops Ranka has a concert in like a day, but something jams the VF's systems and they make an emergency landing. They come across what looks like ruins from a very old Macross ship that turns out to be the 117th Research Fleet. Ranka gets another panic attack from remembering things and promptly gets abducted by the Vajra. *_* Alto tries to rescue her but, the place is actually a Vajra ship and not the 117th Research Fleet. Alto cheezes it but Ranka's still in there when the ship defolds away from Gallia 4. A whole new epic space battle erupts when a crapload of Vajra ships defold near Frontier and Grace, who turns out to be an evil mofo, destroys about a quarter to a half of the planet! Luckily Princess Alto makes it off the planet in time to grab the hax defold thing in orbit and defolds into the battle, where he gets hellbent on rescuing Ranka when the mothership arrives.

Inside, Ranka starts to feel some sort of weird affinity for the Vajra, and sees a vision of a long-haired woman telling her that there is something that she would like to share with Ranka, and proceeds to sing Aimo. When Ranka starts singing it herself, the Vajra freak out, which gives the SMS and the military the advantage over the fight. Alto charges in to rescue Ranka, but Brera flies ahead of him then saves Ranka. Ranka then watches helplessly as the Vajra are defeated. Meanwhile, Grace realizes that Ranka is the "Little Queen." After being tested for things upon arrival in Frontier, she visits Sheryl with Alto, but men come to take Ranka to the Frontier president's office and Alto receives a call from the SMS. When she arrives at the office, Ranka is told that the government is creating a project team for Ranka, whose songs have a certain effect on the Vajra that might be used to the advantage of humans fighting them. Grace turns out to be the project leader, and then Ranka is assigned her very own bodyguard: Brera Sterne!

Ranka will be taken right when she is about to get taken to the president's office. She will be canon-updated once the series finishes. \o\ Also, personality-wise, Ranka is your typical adorable teenage girl. She admires Sheryl a lot but is serious about her dream to become a singer and is really happy when she's practically reached that goal. However, she also values her relationships with her friends and anyone else close to her and would hate to sacrifice her time with them in order to advance her career. She's taken a serious liking for Alto, who is now in a love triangle with the two most popular girls in the galaxy oops. Ranka is a little childish in some ways in that she views things as unfair to her when she doesn't really take into consideration the reasoning of others behind their actions and how they may actually be beneficial to her. She's quite shy despite her career and gets flustered very easily. Because she is a quarter-Zentradi, her hair moves by itself according to her emotions (usually when she's really embarrassed). And though violent scenes send her into a panic, Ranka is still somewhat brave but really dependent on others to help her.

Sample post:
I’m sorry Alto-kun, Sheryl-san, but it looks like I have to go. Um, I’ll call you later, Alto-kun. When will you be finished? And Sheryl-san, please have some rest! You need to get better soon, right? Okay, I’m ready to—Huh?

Wait… where’d those two men go? Alto-kun—where’d Alto-kun go? And Sheryl-san? And... the hospital? Eh...?

... EHHHHH!?

What just happened here?! I was just in the hospital when they—and Alto-kun and Sheryl-san were—but then I was supposed to—and the president—but now I’m—oh gosh, this is too much. Oh! Phone, phone! I’ll call… Oh, where’d it go… phone, phone… Oh, there you are! Should I call onii-chan, president, or Alto-kun?

… I’ll call all three of them! But onii-chan first.

--Wait, huh? No signal? I’m sure I’m supposed to be getting signal everywhere on Frontier... Ah! Please don’t tell me you’re broken! Always when I need it the most... Ahh, I'm supposed to cook dinner tonight, too! And then tomorrow I’m supposed to have rehearsal, then interviews, then a photo shoot! And president’s going to be even more mad because... But now... ehhhh... this can’t be happening! I’m letting everyone down again...

... Get a hold of yourself, Ranka! That’s what Nana-chan would say right about now. Maybe there’s a phone booth or someone I can ask for directions in that forest... Which looks kind of scary. I hope I don’t get lost...

A list of things your character might have on them after they got snatched up and put on this island:
- her iSlug... phone... thing
- the little Dratini thing that's been following her
- her jet-shaped backpack that have specialty Nyan-nyan tuna buns in them *_*
